The United States Navy has seized Iranian-made weapons in the Arabia Sea upon boarding a vessel that was allegedly carrying the equipment to Yemen, media reports said on Thursday, citing information from the US Central Command, APA reports citing the Associated Press.

The operation that took place on Sunday discovered 150 Dehlavieh anti-tank guided missiles, thermal imaging equipment from Iran as well as Iranian surface-to-air missiles and parts for unmanned aerial and surface vessels. The USS Normandy conducted the mission.

The information comes as the US Senate is set to vote on the Iran War Powers bill which aims to limit presidential powers on war. The bill was brought to the floor by Senate Democrats after US President Donald Trump's decision to kill Iranian General Qassem Soleimani led to increased tensions in the region and attacks on US troops in Iraq.
