One worker was killed and 12 others were injured after a mine collapse in Nallihan district of Ankara Province in Türkiye on Friday, APA's bureau in Türkiye reports.
The collapse occurred at around 5 p.m. local time at a mine operated by Cayirhan Coal Enterprises in Nallihan, DHA reported.
Nine workers were initially trapped following the collapse. Eight were rescued alive with injuries, while the body of another worker was recovered.
The injured workers were taken by ambulance to Beypazari State Hospital for treatment.
DHA later reported that the total number of injured workers had risen to 12. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
