Baku-APA. Moscow was deeply concerned with the involvement of Palestinian refugees in the Syrian crisis, Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

"Moscow is deeply concerned with the reports that confronting Syrian sides undertake attempts to secure support and to arm various Palestinian groups," the ministry said in a comment published on its website.

As the conflict in Syria deepens, the Palestinian camps in that country became the "arena of fighting", said the statement.

Earlier in November, the conflicts between the government army and the armed opposition erupted on the territory of the largest Palestinian camp in Syria, resulting in the killing of about 30 people there.

Moscow called all Syrian parties to exercise restraint and not to let Palestinian refugees to get involved in the domestic conflict.

Russia also urged all Syrian sides not to sort things out at the territory of the refugees camps.

"Presence of the large number of refugees from the neighboring countries demonstrates the urgency of sooner Palestine-Israeli settlement," the ministry added.

UN puts the estimated number of Palestinians temporarily living in Syria at 486,000.
