54 out of 133 injured in Riyadh explosion still in hospital

Baku-APA. Saudi Arabia announced that 54 out of 133 injured cases in the gas tanker explosion in Riyadh on Thursday are still in hospitals, APa reports quoting Saudi News Agency.

Of total cases, 20 are Saudis and 34 expatriates of various nationalities, Acting Governor of Riyadh Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz told the agency. He highlighted that the explosion killed 22 persons, of which 8 are Saudis, 8 expatriates and 6 unidentified.

Prince Mohammed said that 79 were discharged from hospitals. "I instructed for immediate formation of a committee of concerned authorities to investigate the case, while another committee with representatives from the civil defence and the governorate would study damages," he said.

Meanwhile the General Directorate of Education in Riyadh has revealed that 11 schools were damaged in the explosion, according to the e-paper Al Eqtisadiya on Saturday. The newspaper said that Riyadh police indentified 12 bodies of four Saudis, 4 Pakistanis, 2 Egyptians, I Bangladeshi and 1 Nepalese through the DNA tests.
