Taliban torch NATO fuel tanker in central Afghanistan

Baku-APA. Taliban militants have torched a NATO fuel tanker in the central Afghan province of Parwan carrying supplies to the US-led forces, local officials say, APA reports quoting Press TV.
Afghan officials say Taliban had planted explosives inside the tanker and that it was detonated remotely.
They also said that the vehicle was traveling on the road from the capital, Kabul to the city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack. It was the fourth attack on NATO tankers in the past few days.
Taliban militants frequently attack trucks carrying supplies from Pakistan to the US-led forces deployed in Afghanistan. Pakistan is the cheapest way for the Western military alliance to dispatch supplies to the foreign forces in the landlocked country.
On September 19, Taliban militants destroyed at least 13 NATO tankers in the southern Afghan province of Zabul.
