Baku-APA. Members of the outlawed Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) on Tuesday set free four people who were kidnapped one day earlier in southeastern Turkey, APA reports citing private Dogan news agency.

A group of PKK rebels blocked a road near Dogan Village in Pervarli town of Siirt province and kidnapped three teachers and one school servant late Monday, said the report, adding that the PKK rebels brought them to Herekol Mountain in the region.

Earlier Tuesday, another group of PKK rebels freed one teacher and one village guard who were kidnapped in Beytessebap town of Sirnak province in southeastern Turkey on Saturday, Dogan reported.

The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, took up arms in 1984 in an attempt to create an ethnic homeland in southeastern Turkey.
