Baku-APA. At least two Palestinian militants and one Israeli soldier were killed during day-long acts of violence on Friday between the two sides in the Gaza Strip, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The sources said that a group of Palestinian militants, who tried to breach the border between southeast Gaza and Israel, opened fire at the Israeli forces at the border and killed one soldier.
The Israeli side then fired back and killed one militant and wounded five others. The one killed was identified as Ahmed Abu Nuseir, 21, whose body was held by the Israeli army and later returned to his family for burial.
Medical sources said that one of the wounded died later on the day, who is a member of the pro-Hamas Popular Resistance Committees.
Israel held Islamic Hamas movement, which rules the Gaza Strip, responsible for the new wave of violence.
