Baku. Konul Cafarli – APA. Iranian police attacked the International Food Exhibition in Tehran. The reason of attack was that the women’s clothing being near the stands wasn’t in compliance with Iranian women dress standards, the absence of yashmak and hijab, the APA reports quoting Iranian press service.
That’s why 80 stands were closed.
The commander of law enforcement bodies, General Ismayil Ahmadi Mugaddam said: “We admonished the women, but they didn’t care. That’s why we closed the standsâ€.
Whether women will be punished or not it’s unknown.
Let’s mention that the companies of Austria, Chine, France, Germany, India, Italy, South Korea, Spain and Turkey joined the exhibition which ended on May 30.
