The UN Security Council gives the Syrian authorities two days to end military operations
At a press conference held after a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bashir Atalaya, Annan said that first of all parties should cease fire, military units must return to the place of permanent deployment.

Note that the April 10 meeting with Syrian counterpart, Foreign Minister Yuri Lavrov received assurances from the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem on the early implementation of the official plan of Damascus Kofi Annan’s special envoy to resolve the crisis in the country.
