Bloody fighting between Pakistani army and Taliban militants

Six soldiers and officers of Pakistani army were killed. Taliban militants experiencing 17 losses retreated. The army started large-scale operations supported by planes and helicopters to neutralize other groups of militants.
The Pakistan Army has cleared most of the Kurram region from the Taliban militants, however, some of the areas are still under the control of militants from where they carry out attacks on the Pakistan Army and pro-government tribal people.
The forces have been conducting major operation against the militants in Kurram and the nearby Orakzai region over the past few months, and they are making progress in areas where militants are still active. The province of Kurram has self-administration status and is ruled by tribal laws.
