Baku – APA. Police in the United Arab Emirates say gunmen have killed a former Pakistani mayor who was suspected of murder in his homeland, APA reports quoting “The Voice of Americaâ€.
Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, a former mayor of a town in northwestern Pakistan, had been accused in the murder of a provincial politician in 2008. He moved to the UAE after he was released on bail in 2008.
Khan was shot in the head five times in the emirate of Ajman on Saturday. UAE police said they are investigating possible political or revenge motives in Khan’s death.
