Baku-APA. Israeli F16 warplanes struck at around midnight on Wednesday on southern Gaza City neighborhood of Zeitoon and on northern Gaza Strip, with no injuries reported, witnesses and paramedics said, APA reports quoting news.yuahoo.com website.
The witnesses said the Israeli warplanes flew over the Gaza Strip, ruled by Islamic Hamas movement, and then a huge explosion was heard in the city. Ambulances and firefighters arrived to the scene. No injuries were reported.
The witnesses also said Israeli warplanes struck a metal workshop in northern Gaza Strip, adding that the building, which is in a densely populated area, was severely damages, but no injuries were reported.
The Israeli army usually fire rockets at empty areas in the Gaza Strip saying that Palestinian militant groups dig tunnels underneath these empty areas.
