Baku-APA. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow has said that he acknowledges Iran’s right to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, APA reports quoting mehrnews.com website.
The president made the remarks in Ashgabat on Tuesday at a meeting with Hamid Baqaii, the special advisor to President Ahmadinejad in international affairs.
Berdimuhamedow stated that he always emphasize Iran’s right to a peaceful use of nuclear technology at his meeting with foreign officials.
He also called Iran the “best†neighbor of Turkmenistan.
Baqaii also said that Tehran is eager to promote cooperation with Ashgabat in various areas, including scientific and cultural areas.
