Baku-APA. The parliament of Kyrgyzstan elected five vice speakers and formed 16 committees during a plenary session on Thursday, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.

The vice speakers elected through a secret ballot are: Bodosh Mamyrova from the Ar-Namys faction, Bakyt Torobaev from the Respublica faction, Asilbek Zheenbekov from the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan (SDPK) faction, Myktybek Abdyldaev from the Ata-Zhurt faction, and Asiya Sasykbaeva from the Ata Meken faction.

During the session, the deputies spent a long time deciding how assistants to Parliament Speaker Akhmatbek Keldibekov, leader of Ata-Zhurt faction, will work.

As it appeared there are only four seats in the presidium while the deputies elected five vice speakers. Eventually, the deputies decided that the five vice speakers will work in turn.

The 16 committees are headed by different faction members whose party succeeded in the October parliamentary election.

In last week’s meeting of Jogorku Kenesh (The Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan), Keldibekov was elected speaker of the parliament.
