Iran executes brother of rebel leader Rigi

Baku. Suleyman Farzaliyev - APA. Iran executed on Monday a brother of the jailed leader of Sunni Muslim rebel group Jundollah (God’s Soldiers), APA reports quoting Fars news.
Abdolhamid Rigi, a convicted Jundollah member, was hanged in a prison in the southeastern city of Zahedan. Iran detained Jundollah leader Abdolmalek Rigi in February, accusing his group of being behind a bombing which killed dozens of people last year. Iranian officials say it has links to al Qaeda and support from Pakistan, Britain and the United States.
