Tehran –APA. Iranian opposition supporters spread copies of a letter sent by Interior Minister of Iran Sadig Mahsouli to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, APA reports. The interior minister said in his letter that opposition candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi gained more votes than other candidates. He also noted that “the results were falsified at the Ali Khamnei’s request, but he intended to inform the Supreme Leader that who was supported by most of Iranian voters”. The letter claimed to be written by the interior minister said that Mir Hossein Mousavi won 19 million of votes, Mehdi Karrubi – 13.4 million and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – 5.7 million. According to the official statistics, Ahmadinejad gained 24.5 million of votes, Mousavi – 13.2 million and Karrubi – 333 600. Local observers supposed that the letter might be false. The Iranian opposition refused to recognize the election results. At last seven people were killed during the protest actions in Tehran. Iranian Constitutional Guardian Council decided to re-count the ballots. Today mourning ceremonies were held in Iran to commemorate the victims of protest actions. The similar actions were organized in other countries too. The Iranians living in Washington marched from the Iranian embassy to the Russian embassy protesting the warm welcoming of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Russia.
