U.S. sailors worked on the flight deck of the USS George Washington (CVN 73) on August 20 as the aircraft carrier transited the Arabian Sea, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a post on X, APA reports.
The George Washington Carrier Strike Group is operating in the Middle East during a scheduled deployment after arriving in the CENTCOM theater on August 19, the statement said.
Note that reports have emerged about problems aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, which has been operating in the Gulf for more than six months.
U.S. President Donald Trump, however, denied the reports and said that everything was fine.
