A group of American senators has submitted a resolution demanding that President Donald Trump’s administration refrain from using military force against Venezuela without the authorization of Congress, said Democratic Senator Tim Kaine from Virginia, APA reports.
The document was prepared by Tim Kaine, Republican Rand Paul from Kentucky, Democrat Adam Schiff from California, and the Senate Democratic minority leader Chuck Schumer.
The purpose of the resolution is “to prevent the participation of the U.S. Armed Forces in military operations in or against the territory of Venezuela without the consent of Congress.”
