Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder stated on Thursday at a briefing that the United States remains fully committed to the "complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula," APA reports citing Teletrader.
"A lot of this has to do with the fact, from a regional security and stability standpoint and non-proliferation, in terms of preventing the potential chance for the use of nuclear weapons, and so, from a United States perspective, again, our policy remains very clear on denuclearization," Ryder underscored.
Ryder further highlighted that Washington has enhanced deterrence provided to its allies in the area, including South Korea, which comprises a "full range of US nuclear capabilities."
