US President Donald Trump said he is not currently ready to discuss the possibility of pardoning former US National Security Agency employee Edward Snowden, who received asylum in Russia, APA reports quoting TASS.
"I'm not talking about that right now. There's a huge difference of opinion. Some people say he should be pardoned. Some people say it would be terrible. I'm not getting involved in that," Trump said during a speech at the White House, answering a reporter's question about the possibility of such a move.
Trump has previously said he would consider pardoning Snowden, a topic he has noted as highly controversial.
