US President Donald Trump intends to impose significant duties on products from EU countries. He said this on Friday, answering journalists' questions at the White House, APA reports.
"Will I impose tariffs on the EU? Do you want an honest answer or a political answer? Absolutely," the American leader said. "Absolutely. The European Union has treated us so terribly," he added.
"They don't take our cars. They don't take our agricultural products. They don't take much of anything, really. We have a huge deficit with the EU. So we're going to do something very significant with the EU," he added. Trump explained that this should allow the US to correct its trade deficit.
