US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken believes that it is necessary to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria, as well as to prevent the country from becoming a springboard for terrorists, he expressed this position during telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Jordan, Qatar and the UAE, APA reports.
Blinken said that it is necessary to prevent the country from becoming a base for terrorists or Syria from becoming a threat to neighboring countries.
The Secretary of State also stressed the need to ensure the security and destruction of chemical weapons stocks in the country.
In addition, he noted that all armed opposition groups in Syria should be able to participate in the political process.
