Pentagon officials held a briefing after United Stated shot down another object flying over its territory on Sunday evening, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The military was said to have acted out of an abundance of caution as it was closely monitoring the radar since it detected a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon last week.
The objects grounded on Sunday over Lake Huron and off the coast of Alaska on Friday are yet to be found and identified. However, according to officials, these objects are different from the Chinese spy balloon.
"We're calling them objects, not balloons for a reason," the officials noted.
