There is "clear and voluminous" evidence that Twitter interfered in the 2020 presidential election in the United States, new CEO Elon Musk said. Earlier, a journalist published internal communications shedding light on how the social network banned former President Donald Trump, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"Do I think Trump would have lost anyway? Yes. And, as a reminder, I supported Biden, Hilary and Obama. Nonetheless, election interference by social media companies obviously undermines the public’s faith in democracy and is wrong," Musk stated, adding that Twitter "operated as a Democratic Party activist machine."
