SpaceX CEO Elon Musk disclosed in a tweet reply on Monday that the company has established nearly a hundred active Starlinks in Iran aimed at providing internet access with the country experiences shutdown of network services amid protests nationwide, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The United States government reached out to the billionare in October, urging Musk to enable satellite internet service as Iranian regime had blocked access to several social media platforms following the unrest over the death of a 22-year old Mahsa Amini that started back in September.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry accused the Western countries of being involved in the protests across the country.
