The negotiations between Armenia and Turkiye towards the normalization of relations have the potential to increase regional stability, said Karen Donfried, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs during the hearing held at the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives, APA reports.
"The negotiations between Armenia and Turkiye in the direction of the process of normalization of relations have the potential to increase regional stability and stimulate greater economic development. Against the background of Russia's brutal war in Ukraine, these efforts are now even more important," said the US official.
