United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken condemned "in the strongest terms" Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' seizure of two Greek-flagged vessels on May 27, reported the US State Department in a statement on Monday, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
Blinked agreed with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias that Iran must instantly release the detained ships, their cargoes, and crews.
"Iran’s continued harassment of vessels and interference with navigational rights and freedoms are a threat to maritime security and the global economy," said Blinken in a statement.
