United States President Joe Biden and his South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk-yeol gave on Wednesday brief public speeches to mark the beginning of the latter's visit to Washington DC in which they spoke about the "unbreakable bond" between their countries, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Biden spoke about the "deep friendship" between the US and South Korea, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, and noted their cooperation is only growing "deeper and more capable." He stressed the importance of mutual investments and the democratic values the two countries share. Biden also pointed out that Washington and Seoul stand together against the threat Russia poses.

Yoon underscored that the US and South Korea represent a "global alliance for the freedom, peace, and prosperity around the world." He added that during his visit, he and Biden will jointly create a plan on how to enhance the relations between their countries even more.
