Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva asked United States President Joe Biden to visit his country and Biden accepted the invitation, the White House announced in a statement, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The two leaders met for talks in Washington on Friday.

They stressed that strengthening democracy, fostering respect for human rights, and solving the climate issue remain at the forefront of their shared agenda. Additionally, they discussed a range of regional and global problems of significance to both parties.

"They deplored the violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine by Russia and the annexation of parts of its territory as flagrant violations of international law and called for a just and durable peace," the White House stated.
