Baku-APA. More than 20,000 people were without power Tuesday after powerful thunderstorms swept through Oklahoma City, capital of the U.S. state of Oklahoma, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Firefighters evacuated 11 people from six homes in far northwest Oklahoma City after power lines fell on them, according to the website of the English daily The Oklahoman.
Downed power poles and tree branches on power lines could be seen across the city.
Blackouts were also reported in the areas surrounding the Oklahoma City
