Mother, 2 children killed in Texas car crash

Baku-APA. A mother and her two children were killed in a weekend car crash in the U.S. state of Texas, authorities said Monday, APA reports quoting AFP.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday (0300 GMT) on a bridge where the mother, Petra Banda Morales, was driving a car with her three children on board, local TV channel ABC13 quoted the Texas Department of Public Safety as reporting.

The car stalled in the center lane and Banda Morales’ 15-year-old son got out and began pushing the car to the side of the road. Then, a truck hit their car, according to the report.

The crash killed Banda Morales and her two younger children.

The teen, who fractured his collarbone, was hospitalized.

The driver of the truck survived the crash with injuries that were not immediately known, the report said.
