Baku-APA. Mexico’s Federal Electoral Inistitute on Friday confirmed Enrique Pena Nieto’s victory in last Sunday’s presidential elections, giving him a seven point lead over the runner-up, with 100 percent of the vote counted, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Nieto, candidate of the once ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), had 38.21 percent of the votes against 31.59 percent for his closest rival, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, of the center-left Progressive Movement.
