Matthew Bryza: My family and I really miss Azerbaijan

"My family and I really miss Azerbaijan. I am happy that we were able to come here as a family and spend the Easter holidays. Here, so well treated to us, we will never forget Azerbaijan", said Bryza.

Commenting on the appointment of a new U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan, he said that this depends only on President Barack Obama. "He ponders over the candidate, and certainly it will be a gifted candidate who will further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries."

Speaking about the prospects of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the former ambassador US said: "I remain convinced that on the table real, workable proposals. Indeed, many co-working on this problem for many years. And I hope that soon will break, when the president will be able to trust each other enough".

Note that Matthew Bryza took part in the event on the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, held today in Baku.
