Foreign ministers of N. American states to meet in Canada

Baku-APA. Foreign ministers of the United States, Canada and Mexico are scheduled to meet Monday in Wakefield of Canada, the U.S. State Department said on Thursday, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will discuss with her counterparts from Canada and Mexico "key issues" that the three states face individually and as a region, including the state of the economy and North American prosperity, regional security, energy and climate change, the health and safety of citizens and matters concerning the broader western hemisphere.

The U.S. State Department describes the meeting as "an important forum for identifying trilateral priorities and ways" the three states can collaborate as partners in North America, the western hemisphere and internationally.

It said the three states share many opportunities and challenges and work collaboratively on a wide range of issues, and the upcoming meeting is an opportunity to reinforce the close relations and identify common objectives and strategies to ensure greater security and well-being as well as economic prosperity for the citizens of North America and the people of the western hemisphere.
