WUF13 to conclude with “Baku Call to Action,” future priorities to be outlined

WUF13 will conclude with the “Baku Call to Action,” said Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, during the High-Level Urban Dialogue of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, APA reports.

He noted that the document will define future directions in the fields of housing and sustainable urban development.

Anar Guliyev also spoke about the reconstruction work being carried out in Azerbaijan.

“In this regard, the restoration of Karabakh and East Zangazur is of particular importance. After many years of occupation and destruction, we are not simply restoring what existed before, but building completely new cities and villages based on the ‘build back better’ principle. This model is based on the principles of ‘smart city’, ‘smart village’, ‘green energy’ and human-centered design. In the fields of climate and green construction, we are also preparing Azerbaijan’s green construction roadmap together with international financial institutions,” he said.
