"Azerbaijan places special importance on organizing cultural infrastructure," said Saadat Yusifova, Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, during her speech at the event titled “UNESCO Creative Cities and Sustainable Urban Development,” held by the Ministry of Culture and UNESCO, APA reports.
“International cooperation is our priority. The ancient sites included in UNESCO in Azerbaijan demonstrate the country’s culture. The Heydar Aliyev Center and the ‘White City’ project are examples of Azerbaijan’s emphasis on innovation and sustainable development. In the field of cultural development, as well as in the application of digitalization, various steps are being taken within the legal framework. Within the framework of the 2040 strategies, new measures have been defined, and steps have been taken regarding the organization of creative industries. The social development program covering 2022–2026 aims to create inclusive competitiveness,” the deputy minister said.
