Energy is at the foundation of our mobility, livelihoods and, most importantly, our culture, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Musadik Masood Malik said during the event titled “D-8 High-Level Energy and Urban Dialogue” organized within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.
“There is a nanotechnology revolution. There is a biotechnology revolution. There is the cognitive revolution that we call artificial intelligence. And there is another revolution — the common connectivity revolution that unites us all, namely the ubiquitous cloud technology: a system connecting the rich and the poor, the North and the South, villages and cities. We are all connected to each other,” the minister noted.
According to him, however, behind all the mentioned revolutions stands an even greater revolution — the electrification revolution: “Because currently electricity forms the basis of economic growth.”
