The idea of creating a cable car system in Baku is currently being discussed by various state institutions, and the final parameters of the project have not yet been determined, Head of the Baku City Executive Authority Eldar Azizov said in a statement to journalists, APA-Economics reports.

“The new cable car is still a project. These are ideas. Time is required for their full formation. At present, this issue is being discussed by various state institutions. It is still too early to say anything definite,” he noted.

Eldar Azizov added that the expansion of the Baku Seaside Boulevard continues on the initiative and instruction of President Ilham Aliyev.

According to him, the boulevard, which is currently 17 kilometers long, is planned to be extended to 25 kilometers in the future.

The head of the Baku City Executive Authority stated that the state is implementing renovation projects related to residential buildings constructed during the Soviet period whose service life has expired.

“Buildings are like people; they also have the beginning and end of their lifespan,” Eldar Azizov emphasized.

He noted that residents are compensated when such buildings are demolished, and that the creation of new parks is mainly planned in those areas.
