“This was a very good opportunity for us. We came here and met with people in Baku, saw the city, and liked it very much," Matuil Haq Khalis, Director General of Afghanistan’s National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA), said in a statement to APA.
He noted that WUF13 also creates a good opportunity for other people to come here, see infrastructure development, learn from this experience and become familiar with various projects. “Currently, we do not have any partnership with Azerbaijan. We are trying to encourage other companies and government institutions to invest in Afghanistan. We also visited the field of activity of one company and saw firsthand how they manage solid waste and their experience in this area.”
