Time of Eid al-Fitr prayer is announced in Azerbaijan, ONA reports citing the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO).
The Eid al-Fitr prayer (End of Ramadan) will be performed on June 5 at 08:00 am in Ajdarbey mosque and at 09:00 in Tezepir mosque in Azerbaijan.
CMO Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade is expected to join the prayer.
It is stated in the fatwa issued by Gazi Council that Eid al-Fitr prayer (first day of the month of Shawwal) will fall to the June 5 due to the view of Moon’s horizons in our lands.
Note that holy month of Ramadan has begun on May 6.
June 5-6 is celebrated as a holiday in Azerbaijan.
