The decline in the cryptocurrency market continues. Most major digital assets have lost value over the past 24 hours, while the price of Bitcoin has fallen below $77,000, APA-Economics reports.
According to data from the CoinMarketCap platform, Bitcoin declined by 2.21% over the past 24 hours to $76,761.78. The cryptocurrency's price has decreased by 3.61% over the past seven days and by 9.49% over the past 30 days.
Ethereum fell by 2.39% to $2,249.39, while BNB declined by 2.58% to $695.02. The sharpest decline was recorded in Zcash, which lost 11.37% of its value, falling to $1,134.84.
Bitcoin Cash dropped by 4% to $274.14, Bittensor declined by 4.24% to $223.67, and Quant fell by 3.85% to $192.53.
Meanwhile, Monero increased by 0.75% to $605.69.
Positive dynamics were also observed among gold-backed cryptocurrencies. PAX Gold (PAXG) rose by 0.33% to $3,925.33, while Tether Gold (XAUT) increased by 0.39% to $3,911.84.
The CoinMarketCap 20 index declined by 2.40% over the past 24 hours to 155.66 points. Bitcoin's market capitalization fell to $1.54 trillion.
Analysts say the decline in the cryptocurrency market may be linked to investors' cautious approach toward risky assets and increasing selling pressure. The fact that most major cryptocurrencies have lost value over the past month indicates that the negative trend in the market is continuing.
