On May 28-30, 2025, the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues was held in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, on the topic "Equal and Indivisible Security Architecture: Opportunities and Threats for Southern and Eastern States," APA reports citing the Security Council.
The delegation led by General-Colonel Ramil Usubov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in the event.
Within the framework of the three-day dialogue attended by delegations from 126 countries representing 105 countries worldwide, discussions were held on the formation of a new architecture of equal and indivisible security on a global scale, protection of critical information infrastructure from terrorist attacks and sabotage, as well as issues related to combating internet fraud.
In his speech, Ramil Usubov noted that the rapidly occurring processes today create new challenges and threats to security and stability worldwide, that the lack of opportunities for the global South and the East to protect themselves from this alone is a cause for concern, and emphasized the importance of joint efforts by the international community. He spoke about the contributions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, located in a geographical area where global interests intersect, to the formation and strengthening of a sustainable security environment in the region and worldwide, and the development of sustainable international cooperation on an equal basis, under the direct leadership and tireless efforts of the esteemed President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
During the meetings held within the event, exchanges of views were held on strengthening relations in the field of ensuring security, prospects for bilateral cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.
