The first baby in 32 years has been born in the Aghdara district, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports, citing the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB).
An emergency medical team assisted in a premature birth of a 36-week pregnant woman at the scene. The team observed the umbilical cord wrapped around the fetus’s neck and safely freed it through appropriate intervention. Neonatal resuscitation measures, including heart massage and respiratory restoration, were performed. The birth process continued under the medical team’s supervision inside the ambulance.
Both the pregnant woman and the newborn girl were transported to a medical facility, where necessary care was provided. The mother’s treatment is ongoing, and her condition is stable. The baby girl weighs 2.7 kg and measures 49 cm; her treatment continues, and her condition is satisfactory.
