Twitter CEO Dorsey auctioning his first tweet

Twitter founder and CEO Jack Dorsey has put his first tweet up for auction on a website called Valuables by Cent, where people can sell tweets as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), APA reports citing Teletrader.

The tweet in question was posted on the social media platform in March 2006 and reads: "just setting up my twttr."

The highest bid for the tweet as of March 6, 6:29 am CET was $267,000. Once the tweet is sold, it will be minted on the blockchain and the buyer will get a "digital certificate of the tweet, unique because it has been signed and verified by the creator." However, the original post will remain on Twitter.
