Haydar Aliyev Foundation disseminates information about Ogtay Gulaliyev

Currently, the treatment of human rights defender Ogtay Gulaliyev is continued in Istanbul’s American Hospital, Haydar Aliyev Foundation told APA.

After the treatment carried out in Avrasiya Hospital, the family of Ogtay Gulaliyev appealed to the Foundation with the request to help in the placement of Ogtay Gulaliyev in the American Hospital and provision of additional medical services to him at that hospital.

“The received request has been discussed with doctors in Istanbul, as well as with the Council of Experts of the Foundation and taking into consideration the request of the family of Ogtay Gulaliyev, he was placed in the American Hospital. The blood tumor removal and bypass surgery have been conducted on the brain of Ogtay Gulaliyev at the American Hospital, and currently, the relevant treatment is continued for the rehabilitation of health of the patient”, the report reads.

It is being noted that health, as well as, the support provided by the Foundation regarding those with severe health problems are evaluated based on the internal rules according to the course and dynamics of treatment: “Thus, the decision is made by the Foundation regarding the next available support based on the review presented regularly as well as about the patients with critical condition once in 10-20 days by the physicians.

Currently, based on the regular feedback of doctors and dynamics in the course of treatment Heydar Aliyev Foundation supporting the treatment of Oktay Gulaliyev gives relevant assistant to the family.”

Note that, wife of Oktay Gulaliyev, Firuza Gulaliyeva has expressed gratitude to the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva for the support for the treatment of her husband in Turkey.
