Baku city Disinfection Center: “Persistence duration of coronavirus shorter than other viruses”

“Although coronavirus does not last long in the air, it has the ability to linger to 9-12 hours on surfaces. No need for panic. Persistence duration of coronavirus shorter than other viruses,” Elvin Mammadov, doctor of Baku Disinfection Center told journalists, APA reports.

He stated that urgent anti-epidemic disinfection works are being conducted towards this due to lasting ability: “High-quality medicines made in Turkey and Spain, chloramine are constantly used here. Depending on the surfaces, medicinal products may change. Sometimes parents are in agitation. It does not mean that anti-epidemic disinfection works are carried out whenever there is any epidemic instruction. As a result of mutual cooperation with the Ministry of Education, these measures are being implemented almost everywhere since early January.”

E. Mammadov stated that these activities are not overlooked because they are conducted at the end of the school day depending on the work schedule: “The recent decision of Cabinet of Ministers led to further acceleration of this work. All measurement plan will be conducted within a short time.”
