Azerbaijani MIA promulgates forms of penalties for people over 65 who do not obey rules of special quarantine

Ministry of Internal Affairs has clarified which punishment waits people who are 65 or over in the case of violation of ban on leaving home, the head of press service of MIA Ehsan Zaidov told APA.

According to him, in case of employees of post-patrol services come across to the citizens who are 65 years old or more, they will firstly have informative, awareness rising talk with them, and then they will be required to go back to their home: “ Fine can be applied in that case if the citizen does not follow the rule in regular condition, despite the conversation held several times, and they have been warned. In that case, the protocol will be drawn up to that person because of a violation of the special quarantine regime.”

Note that People over the age of 65 are banned from leaving their homes in Azerbaijan due to the threat of coronavirus. The decision was made at today's meeting chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov. According to the decision, a special quarantine regime is announced in the Republic of Azerbaijan from 00:00 on March 24, 2020 to 00:00 on April 20. During this period, people over the age of 65 were banned from leaving their homes due to the threat of coronavirus in Azerbaijan. Social services should be provided to this category of single people in accordance with the law.
