Radiation Problems Institute director: Initial agreement was reached on the use of research nuclear reactor in Azerbaijan

On January 23, Andrey Chupov had meetings in Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, Customs Committee and Republic Oncological Center and had discussions on the implementation of the projects over the republic, director of Radiation Problems Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Adil Garibov told APA. He said that construction of research nuclear reactor in Azerbaijan was discussed during the meeting.
â€œThere is a mutual understanding, agreement on establishing research nuclear reactor in Azerbaijan,â€ he said.
According to Adil Garibov, though there is no official permission on the use of research nuclear reactor and sterilization equipment, the sides reached an initial agreement.
Andrey Chupov will continue meetings and discussions with relevant bodies on the implementation of projects. /APA/
