Moscow. R. Metleboghlu – APA. Azerbaijani students took preliminary examination to Russian universities on Wednesday at school No. 1241 in Moscow. The examination was organized under the auspices of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation by the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress, Russian Ministry of Education and Science and Azerbaijan State Commission for Student Admission, APA reports. Chairman of the Ojag Azerbaijan Culture Center Professor Tofig Malikli, who chaired the admission commission, called the efforts of Azerbaijani students to get education in the Russian universities as an important step. He said Russia would meet expenditures of the Azerbaijani students succeeded in the examination. He wished success to the students.

Executive director of the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress Eldar Guliyev said the Russian universities gave 128 places to the Azerbaijani students this year. 140 students applied for these places. Sechenev Russian Medical Academy, Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, St Petersburg State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University and others are among the high schools applied by the Azerbaijani students.
