Diplomats from 14 countries visit mass grave in Guba

Guba â€“APA. Diplomats from 14 countries accredited in the Kingdom of Morocco are on a visit to Guba-Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan, APA northern bureau reports. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan organized the visit of the foreign diplomats to make them familiarized with the countryâ€™s tourism potential. The ministry prepared special program to introduce the tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan to the world and to develop it as well. Senior adviser of the ministryâ€™s tourism sector Rahman Orujlu said they aimed to invite the foreign diplomats to the country within this program and to introduce the nature and historic places of the region to them. The diplomats visited mass grave of the people killed during the massacres committed by Armenians in Guba in 1918.
Vietnamese diplomat Tuiet Nvuen said they were shocked when visited the mass grave. â€œI saw signs of inhuman actions there. My homeland Vietnam also faced with such tragedy. I damn those who commit genocideâ€.
Omanâ€™s ambassador to Morocco Abdullah Mahmoud called it an action against the mankind. â€œI am a diplomat and I call on the international organizations to give legal value to this eventâ€.
